Mark has been enriching and advising Iowa families regarding their financial needs for nearly three decades. He’s enjoyed a storied career as a radio show host, author, lecturer, mentor and founder and CEO of Gremler Financial Group, and as a result has become one of Iowa’s most well-known and respected financial professionals. Following his decision to sell Gremler Financial Group, Mark spent five years enjoying family and friends--while continuing to research and maintain awareness of our economy and markets and managing his family’s portfolio.
Mark attended California State University at San Bernardino; his family owned several businesses which Mark began managing at an early age. Mark began his financial career in 1994; he soon became a Registered Representative. In June 1999 he founded one of only ten RIA firms in the state of Iowa that still exist today. His vision regarding fiduciary status to avoid conflicts of interest made him a pioneer as he began his career.
Mark has been asked to address numerous financial planner meetings in Canada, Ireland, Mexico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as many cities in the United States. He’s appeared on CNN, Fox, Bravo, and CNBC, and was featured on a nationally televised special spotlighting the impact his work had on the financial planning industry for Baby Boomers.
Mark has always remained committed to serving families and treats all as if they were his own; prior to selling Gremler Financial Group, he partnered with many CPA’s and law firms in the community and together presented at over 1,000 educational speaking engagements.
Mark is an active member of both the professional and charitable communities. Gremler served five years as Chair of the Field Practices/Ethics committee for the Des Moines Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and supported organizations such as the homeless shelter, Kiwanis, Special Olympics and others.
After retiring at an early age and following the sale of one of Iowa’s largest financial planning firms, Gremler continued to grow his real estate company, travel and manage his other holdings. In 2022, he founded FinWorld–a cyber security company designed to provide the highest level of security to the wealth management industry.
